Montego Bay boasts a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The main resort area (the 'hip strip'), lined with hotels, shops, bars and restaurants, runs alongside the beach. People are very friendly - so be prepared for many offers to braid your hair or to take you to the craft markets! For a spot of fun try the Aqua Sol Theme Park. This is a golfer's paradise, home to four courses, and although play is more expensive than the UK, the resort offers some very challenging fairways.
