Located 10km northwest of Samos Town on the north coast of Samos is picturesque Kokkari, a typically Greek village which, due to its popularity, is becoming more commercialised. Like all of the island's resorts, Kokkari and its surrounding countryside of forests, olive groves and mountains attracts keen walkers. Buses and taxis are also available, and cars and bicycles can be hired. Exchange facilities are on hand, and most shops and restaurants accept credit cards.
