Corralejo, Fuerteventura?s largest resort, has a winning combination ? an idyllic beach stretching for 11 km, and situated just 3 km from the resort centre, plus the best nightlife on the island. Located approximately 36 km from the airport, the original fishing village is still the heart of the resort surrounded by tasteful modern buildings. It suits families, couples and groups of friends.
The long golden stretch of beach at Corralejo is called Playa Grande. The coastal breeze here is great for experienced windsurfers, but may be too fresh for some. Likewise, the diving and swimming are also superb, but the currents can be strong and care must be taken.
There are a few shops and supermarkets around the resort, although the choice is somewhat limited.
There are also several bars and discos in the town centre, as well as the varied hotel-based entertainment.
