Puerto de Santiago still retains some of its old world charm and sophistication. It's one of the quieter resorts on the island, perfect for a relaxing break yet there's still plenty to see and do as Puerto de Santiago is a great base for exploring Tenerife.
The alluring black sand beach is charming but quite small. Larger beaches can be found at the nearby Playa de las Arenas and Los Gigantes.
Shopping is limited here, but all holiday essentials are provided. For better variety, and a taste of true Tenerife, go to the farmer's market in nearby Alcala on a Wednesday morning.
Puerto de Santiago's bars and excellent restaurants provide relaxed, low-key nightlife.
